This classic barrel-shaped bead comes from the Peshawar Valley in northwestern Pakistan, part of the Indus Valley Civilization. Dating to circa 1000 BCE, it reflects the skill and artistry of ancient bead makers, featuring a large central hole typical of the period and beautifully patterned agate. Each bead was carefully handcrafted, and this example remains in excellent condition, showing subtle natural variations and the patina of genuine antiquity.
