This large, extremely rare carnelian cylinder bead comes from the Gilgit region of Pakistan and dates to around 200 AD during the Gandhara period. Its cylindrical shape showcases the skill of ancient bead makers, and the warm, rich carnelian color adds incredible natural beauty. A unique and historic piece, it is in great condition for its age and comes strung on an adjustable black nylon cord.
